Focusing on Smart Energy Integration, the Q1 Forum Opens a New Chapter in Solar-Storage-Charging Technologies

Global Push Toward Net Zero Fuels Smart Energy Integration

Amid carbon neutrality policies and global energy price volatility, companies around the world are seeking energy solutions that offer greater resilience and autonomy. In response, Billion Watts hosted the “Integrated Solar, Storage & EV Charging Solutions and Smart Energy Applications Forum” on March 21 at the Taipei International Convention Center. Over a hundred industry representatives from government, academia, and enterprise attended the event, which focused on key applications including behind-the-meter storage, microgrids, EV charging infrastructure, and real-time monitoring, all pivotal to the implementation of smart energy. 

At the event, Billion Watts President Elaine Chen shared strategic perspectives on corporate energy challenges and integrated energy management.

As electricity prices continue to rise and carbon fee policies roll out, energy-related risks are becoming a critical business variable. Billion Watts offers integrated solutions combining MIT (Made in Taiwan) green technologies such as solar PV, energy storage, and EV charging equipment. These solutions enable enterprises to build flexible and dispatchable energy infrastructure, promote decentralized energy management, and enhance energy autonomy. President Elaine Chen stressed the importance of proactive energy planning to strengthen resilience and ensure long-term competitiveness.

The seminar drew a full house, with participants focused on the practical applications of solar, storage, and charging system integration. 

Innovation Spotlight: New Energy Storage System & Self-developed Monitoring Platform

Billion Watts introduced its latest product, the Billion Fusio Nex 125kW/261kWh Commercial Energy Storage System, featuring modular design and flexible configuration. It supports DC-parallel expansion, integrates solar MPPT, and includes a static transfer switch that enables millisecond-level grid-to-off-grid switching. Suitable for factories, commercial buildings, and EV charging stations, the system meets demands for both long-duration storage and backup power.

In addition to enabling power flexibility for heavy electricity users, it also supports frequency regulation and spinning reserve, making it compatible with fast-response energy trading markets.

At the same time, Billion Watts launched Pixel View 5.0, a proprietary monitoring platform integrating SCADA architecture and green energy trading modules. This system enhances real-time data visualization and dispatch flexibility, significantly improving enterprise energy decision-making. Pixel View 5.0 is more than just a monitoring tool; it serves as a strategic command center for energy management, helping users respond to real-time market dynamics and shift from post-event analysis to proactive energy control.

Speakers from across sectors shared their observations and forward-looking insights, grounded in both field implementation and system-level strategies:

Chen emphasized how behind-the-meter storage is increasingly integrated with Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technology to form dispatchable and tradable energy assets. These solutions not only help reduce peak load impacts but also participate in market-based services. Billion Watts is deploying behind-the-meter storage and VPP frameworks across multiple sites to build more resilient, controllable energy systems.

Huang noted that enterprises can leverage system scheduling and data analytics to better participate in market services, optimize energy structures, and achieve greater flexibility and financial benefits in energy management.

“Everyone is rushing to deploy charging stations, but the key to survival is managing operational pressure.”

Yu pointed out that without careful load scheduling, sites risk contract penalties or power outages. With EMS and scheduling management, operators can build EV-EMS integrated architectures that provide scalable and flexible operational foundations.

Su shared how Noodoe’s EVOS platform, deployed across multiple countries, provides AI-based dispatching, equipment monitoring, and remote management. He emphasized the importance of a replicable, remotely operable backend platform for EV operators to scale operations and enhance business resilience.

“Our goal is to help enterprises shift from viewing energy as a cost to treating it as a strategic resource.”

Wu explained how Pixel View 5.0 enables real-time monitoring, predictive analysis, and dispatch decision-making. It supports multi-site and multi-device operations, offering a centralized management hub for enterprises with complex energy needs.
