Safety mechanisms for installation, maintenance, fire fighting and other emergencies.
SafeDC™ is a built-in automatic voltage shut-off safety mechanism, which eliminates the danger of electrical fire and high-voltage electrocution.
When the system detects a fire, the AC network shut down, or the signal blocked by an earthquake, typhoon, SolarEdge power optimizer automatically shut down the DC current, then adjust the voltage output of each module to the safe mode of 1V. According to the current firefighting criterion, when the power plant catches fire, firefighters cannot wade across water to extinguish the fire because of the high conductivity of water, so it causes financial losses easily. SolarEdge security mechanisms have passed the electricity arc protection specifications such as IEC60947 and NEC 2014/2017 690.11/690.12 of the US. Ensure the absolute safety of the power plant, the firefighter, power plant maintenance, installation, and prevent accidents such as arc fire or high-voltage power electrocution.
